BARNEY MARTIN – BLADDER CANCER

Actor Barney Martin might not have a long list of film and TV credit to his name, but he left a significant mark in the industry with his portrayal of Morty Seinfeld, the father of Jerry, on the hugely successful sitcom Seinfeld. Aside from acting, he led an interesting life as he was also one of New York City Police Department’s finest detectives. He had been prolific in both fields and we don’t doubt that he left quite the legacy among those he had met.

Later in life, he got diagnosed bladder cancer and eventually succumbed to it. He passed away at age 82, surrounded by his family. His contributions in both entertainment and the field of investigation did not go unnoticed, of course. Martin was remembered, not just by his audience, but also his peers who mourned the loss of the talented actor. no less. Although he isn’t with us anymore, his memory will live on in the work that he has done.
