Grace Jones is a Jamaican-born model and musician who rose to prominence in the 1980s. She was widely known for her unapologetic punk rock person, significantly influencing the rock and roll scene.

Jones kicked off her career as a model in New York in the early 1970s. After signing with Wilhelmina Models, the model jet-setted off to Paris to further her modeling career. While there, she became a part of several high-end campaigns, including Kenzo Takada, Yves Saint Laurent, and Claude Montana. As her credit score grew, so did her social circle. While in Europe, Jones became acquainted with some of the most influential people in fashion, like Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani. By 1974, however, she decided to shift her career into music and became a part of Island Records. She broke through the mainstream media in the 1980s and enjoyed a prosperous career well into the 1990s. The model-turned-singer is now 74 years old with a net worth amounting to $7 million.
