Etta Jones

Etta Jones is one of the best jazz singers of all time. During the 60’s, she popularized songs such as Don’t Go to Strangers, Something Nice, So Warm, Lonely and Blue, Hollar!, Love Shout, From the Heart, and Save Your Love For Me. Throughout her career, she has performed with other musicians and singers like Milt Jackson, Houston Person, Cedar Walton, Earl Hines, Buddy Johnson, Barney Bigard, and Kenny Burrell. Together, they produced wonderful hits that still remain as favorites even to this day.

Someone with an impressive music career like hers must consider their voice as her primary investment, and we wouldn’t be too surprised if she has gone to great lengths to maintain her powerful vocals. She has received countless accolades across the years, her name alone has become synonymous with jazz. Three of her most popular songs earned her Grammy nominations, and she was also later inducted into the Grammy’s Hall of Fame.
